Bite-Size Bible Blogs On

Since embarking on this blog less than two months ago, I have had over a thousand visitors. My prayer in starting it was that God would use it to help me find the lost sheep of the house of Israel. I thank Him with all my heart for letting me connect with so many truth seekers.

“But Jesus answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

In this short amount of time, I have received some ‘hate’ email — mostly from preachers and evangelists that interpret what I’m writing as an attack upon their livelihoods. I understand how they feel; they have a lot to lose if anyone catches on to their masquerade as ministers of righteousness.

I never intended to attack anyone. My only intention is to share the truth about God, His Messiah, and the Bible because truth is the basis of worshipping God — nothing else. Lies keep people in a mental prison and if left untreated, can result in insanity and all sorts of other diseases.

Lies = Poison

I have also received some nasty email from ‘old timers’ — people that call themselves Christians, attend church regularly, and believe they are the ’saved’ ones. When presented with Biblical information that challenges their long held false doctrines, these people turn into monsters. Jesus described such people this way:

“They shall put you out of the synagogues (churches): yes, the time comes, that whosoever kills you will think that he does God service.”

I am not saying every church-going person is a monster, but I am saying, beware of people that claim to believe in God. You will know them by their fruit — that fruit being their ‘obedience’ to the teachings of the Bible.

Then there are the ‘nut cases’ — the ones that think they are really on to something in their efforts to discredit the Bible and Jesus. They quote scriptures out of context and peddle themselves as experts in ancient Biblical texts. They believe their own brains are brilliant and the Bible is beneath their intellectual level, yet they are completely wrapped up in the very book they are trying to discredit. Jesus is in their thoughts and on their lips, and in their blindness, they do not realize they are ‘bowing’ down to him. Go Lord!

“If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there.”

Every so often I receive an email from a dedicated student of the Bible that points out something to me that causes me to ‘rethink’ or ‘rewrite’ a statement. I appreciate this immensely as my goal is to excel in my own understanding of the scriptures. Keep your insights coming!

You have the responsibility to question doctrines and hold your teachers accountable for what they are teaching. However, do it with a spirit of humility, not with a spirit of contention.

The emails that make my day are the ones that thank me for making God’s Word clear to them. However, I cannot accept this thanks. The thanks must go to God who gave us His Word and the Holy Spirit to help us understand the truth, without which, I would still be wandering around in the darkness, bumping my head on all sorts of wrong doctrines!

Whatever you do in this short life, don’t become an old wineskin. Jesus said he cannot pour ‘new wine’ into old wineskins. An old wineskin is someone that thinks they know something and are unwilling to change their thinking, even when the Bible they are reading shows them they are wrong. An old wineskin refuses to accept correction and even Jesus himself cannot change such a person.

“And Abraham said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”

A person that is humble is capable of being taught something by anyone. An arrogant person cannot be taught anything.

“And if any man think that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.”

Stay teachable, stay open to the truth, and you will find a treasure so incredible that you will question your right to have it. But I tell you, take it and don’t let go.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Wishing you a fruitful journey,

-Jo

Go Sister! I am with you in this spiritual fight and I thank God again for your work. Reading your studies makes me realize that you don’t have anything to lose and that your first goal is to teach the truth. I know that you love God more than everything, that’s why the word of God is with you. Thank you so much from a hungry man from Europe.

Thank you for your teachings! Praise Jesus!!! I look forward to reading all of your new blogs and I check the site for new ones every day. They are so clear and easy to understand. This is the perfect blog for people seeking the REAL Truth about God and Jesus. So many churches are teaching the wrong doctrine and so many people are all caught up in it and don’t even realize that they are believing lies. This blog was a fantastic way to get the message out there and I pray that more and more of the lost sheep will find their way…
